Natia
Lapiashvili is a Georgian national. She graduated from Tbilisi
State University
(Georgia),
legal department. Subsequently she enrolled in an LLM at the Riga Graduate
School of Law, with a specialization in Public International and European Law.
Natia
worked as a legal expert on the “Civil Registration Reform” joint project
between the Georgian Ministry of Justice and OECD/USAID/UNDP. She was a member
of the legal drafting committee responsible for comparative legal research and the
drafting of laws and by-laws.
Natia
is an experienced Moot court alumni. She has participated in international and
regional rounds of the following
Moot Courts: Model ICC (2006); P. Jessup Public International Law (2007); Model
WTO (2007); Willem C. VIS International Commercial Arbitration (2008), M. Lachs
Space Law (2008).
Fluent
in Georgian, Russian and English, Natia also has average understanding of German
and French. Natia’s doctoral thesis will
be entitled “Modern Sales Law in Eastern Europe and Central
Asia ”
